Our data highway for your communications

WINGAS GmbH & Co. KG doesn't just market natural gas and related services. We are also data carriers. Besides the underground gas pipeline network of WINGAS TRANSPORT GmbH & Co. KG (WTKG), we have laid fibre optic cables parallel to our gas pipelines. We have been leasing transmission capacity (in the jargon: dark fibre) to national and international telecommunication companies since 1996. The additional marketing of the fiber optic grids of two well-established European telecommunication companies means that we can now offer a fiber optic grid with a total length of more than 10,000 kilometers from one single source: Our Data Highways for your Communication.

Our fibre optic backbone grid provides opportunities for connection to international grids. In addition it enables us to set up both big ring structures for supra-regional telecommunication carriers as well as small, regional rings. Connections to important network hubs are created through network mergers with regional telecommunication companies - the city carriers. Our customers can lease space to install their own transmission technology, and we also provide a complete service offering for all infrastructure issues. For example, completely digital documentation of the pipeline route, continuous monitoring of the entire fibre optic cable network and a 24-hour skeleton service. That makes WINGAS a reliable and competent partner for national and international telecommunication companies.
