State-of-the-art technology and innovative solutions secure the supply of natural gas and enable optimum utilization at attractive conditions. The WINGAS subsidiary, WINGAS TRANSPORT GmbH & Co. KG, operates the over 2000 km long pipeline network across Germany to open this potential up to as many customers and partners as possible. These pipelines transport many billions of cubic meters of natural gas each year: both our own and gas from other companies.
WINGAS TRANSPORT’s nine compressor stations across Germany and the WINGAS storage facility in Rehden (the biggest in Western Europe) are part of the high-performance infrastructure of the WINGAS companies. With further investments, which WINGAS TRANSPORT makes in extending the pipeline and WINGAS makes in expanding the gas storage facility projects, the WINGAS companies will also ensure more supply security in the future.
WINGAS TRANSPORT controls the flow of gas via the fiber optic cables laid alongside the pipelines. That’s not the end of it: additional fiber optic cables guarantee seamless internal communication and provide telecommunications companies with a high-performance infrastructure.
