WINGAS Sponsors Kassel State Theater’s Children and Youth Program As the program’s main sponsor, WINGAS supports the educational children and young people’s concert work of Kassel State Theater’s Orchestra Academy for the 2010/2011 season. The TC RW Vellmar tennis camp The third WINGAS tennis camp will take place at the Rot Weiss Vellmar Tennis Club from 9 until 12 August 2010. WINGAS sponsors future KSV stars KSV Hessen Kassel is one of North Hesse's best-known football clubs and enjoys a national reputation too. OSC Vellmar Whitsun Tournament The three-day OSC Vellmar Whitsun Tournament took place from 21 May until 23 May. The event which was held on the club's artificial pitch was once again a great success. A readers` tour around the world The cultural office of the city of Kassel organised "A readers' tour around the world" on the 20th of March, 2010 in the child and junior library - it was an international reading day for the cultural participation of children. KinderKultUrlaub 2010 As a highlight of this years easter holidays the Kasseler Kinderkultur presented the third annual KinderKultUrlaub from April 6th to 9th, 2010. SMS-Schütz macht Stimmung Kzwo10 inc. has organised the project "SMS - Schütz macht Stimmung", which is part of their concerts "compositions for kids". The TC RW Vellmar tennis camp The second WINGAS tennis camp will take place at the Rot Weiss Vellmar Tennis Club from 17 until 20 August 2009. “The Bremen Town Musicians” The Theater Laku Paka is to stage a modern version of the classic Grimm fairy tale. “Crossovers” In 2009, the Kassel-based organization Kzwo10 is launching the “Crossovers” project as part of its “Compositions for Kids” concerts. KinderKultUrlaub 09 As a highlight of this years fall break the Kasseler Kinderkultur presents the second annual KinderKultUrlaub in the first of the two weeks. OSC Vellmar Whitsun Tournament The three-day OSC Vellmar Whitsun Tournament took place from 30 May until 1 June. WINGAS invites 70 classes to a museum WINGAS has sponsored a project which encourages children and young people to enjoy culture. Juliane Gallo, a self-employed museum curator, instigated the project. Youth cafe Young people are the future. With fresh ideas and abundant energy, young people brighten up our lives. “Pea and bean duel” Norbert Ebel (two-times winner of the Dutch-German Youth Theatre Award) has written a play that makes both young and old laugh out loud – “Erbs und Bohn Duell – The Pea and Bean Duel.” Jersey Sponsoring 2008 WINGAS supports young teams in various sports by donating jerseys. KinderKultUrlaub 08 (KidsCultureClub 08) In cooperation with the municipal youth and educational authority, Kassel’s cultural office will organize the “KinderKultUrlaub” during the fall school holidays. Children in after school care at both public and private institutions will work out agenda items for a public end-of-club presentation in project groups under professional guidance. KUNST!MichMal (ART!Me!Up!) The Labor für angewandte und freie Kunst (applied and free art workshop) in Kassel will continue the “KUNST!MichMal” project for the promotion of aesthetic and cultural education again this year. New tones for new ears After the successful final “Stones and wood on paper” concerts (winner of the 2007 Kassel Cultural Promotion Award (Kulturförderpreis)/supported by WINGAS) the wish arose to establish a follow-up project in which other classes would also be given the opportunity to convert their creative strengths into music. Rot Weiss Vellmar Summer Camp The second summer camp organized by Rot Weiss Velmar Tennis Club had been held in the last week of the school summer vacation between July 28 and August 1, 2008. The club offered training for novices and advanced training courses for young people who are interested. Children in a reading frenzy For the third time the “Kassel Young People’s Book Week was held from April 21 to 25, 2008. The aim of this event, co-initiated by the state library, was to encourage young people to read books. Giessen Mathematikum in Niedervellmar primary school In May a museum-educational project had been organized at Niedervellmar elementary school which had not only benefit the school but also the region as a whole: The Giessen Mathematikum traveling exhibition had been making a stop here. Brothers Grimm Journal The journal issued by the Brothers Grimm Society publishes new research findings as well as amusing and, sometimes, unexpected anecdotes from the lives of the Grimm brothers. In line with this, WINGAS has designed a new advertisement for the journal to support the work of the Brothers Grimm Museum. Youth Soccer Competition – OSC Vellmar The competition for the 11th Vellmar Cup had been held at Whitsun, from May 10 to 12. Around 1,000 children from the Kassel region played against each other in order to find the strongest teams in their respective age groups. “Hexenwinter – Büyülü kis” With its German and Turkish production, the bilingual puppet-theater play “Hexenwinter – Büyülü kis” for children aged four and above was aimed at institutions where a large proportion of the children are of non-German origin. Shirt sponsoring 2007 WINGAS supports children's and youth teams by donating shirts for a range of different team sports. Stones and wood on paper Three school classes were being taught composition by musicians from the Kassel Staatstheater using just one material: either stone, wood or paper. Swimming The main aims of the ACT Baunatal Swimming Association are to discover and foster new talent and to holistically develop the children and young people who train there. “In short“ - “Theatre for Loners“ festival “Theater für Einzelgänger" (Theatre for Loners) from the LAKU PAKA theatre are amusing, exclusive and surprising theatre pieces performed for an audience of one. “4th Schüler-Uni (Pupil University) program for the Documenta summer exhibition“ The theme “Causes, effects and limitation of climate change” was once again a key topic for the Pupil University in 2007. Pupils looked at the causes and dangers of climate change and developed visions for limiting it in the future. High school sport at the University of Kassel - “a uni in motion“ A healthy mind needs a healthy body and students in particular must strike the right balance here. ZirkuTopia e. V. “circus camp“ The circus camp was a one-week circus course designed for both able-bodied and disabled children and young people. |
